Who operates this site
FLOBOB HAULAGE AND TRANSPORT LTD., trading through Grab Hire Scotland, is responsible for this website and the personal information submitted through it. Contact us at flobobhaulage@gmail.com, on 07495 814889 or by post at 6 Shilford Road, Neilston, Glasgow G78 3AW with privacy questions.
Information in a quote request
The quote form may collect the house / building number or name, street address, town / city, postcode, customer type, requested service, material or work details, quantity, access information, contact name, phone number, email address, preferred timing and, for commercial enquiries, company name.
How and why we use it
We use this information to respond to your quote request, assess whether we can undertake the work and discuss price, timing and practical arrangements. This processing is necessary to take steps at your request before potentially entering into a contract and for our legitimate interest in managing genuine business enquiries.
Automatic price estimates
Prices are calculated privately on this website’s server using our approved tariff. For postcode estimates without a saved distance, the postcode is sent to Postcodes.io. Confirmed coordinates are sent to the FOSSGIS / Valhalla routing service to calculate road distance. House numbers, street addresses, towns/cities, contact details and pricing tables are not sent to these mapping services. Road distances are cached for up to 30 days. A postcode represents an area rather than an exact site entrance, and mapping or route information may be incomplete. Automated estimates may therefore be inaccurate. We will confirm the actual price, availability and timeframe by phone or email before agreeing a booking. Aggregate-only delivery transport is priced separately.
Enquiry emails and storage
Your enquiry and server-calculated estimate are saved in this website’s private database and sent to flobobhaulage@gmail.com for our team to review. The email includes your contact details and job requirements so we can phone or email you to confirm the price and availability. Our email delivery provider processes those details to deliver and store the email. When the Google connection is active, Google Apps Script temporarily stores queued messages for automatic retries; sent message contents are removed from that queue, with delivery references kept for up to 30 days. During the transition, FormSubmit remains the delivery provider until the Google connection is activated. A quote request is not an automatic booking. Only authorised administrators can retrieve stored enquiries. We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, manage any resulting job, meet record-keeping requirements and resolve disputes.
Spam controls and local storage
The form uses a hidden field, completion-time check and recent-submission check to discourage automated use. The server also uses short-lived, hashed network-address buckets to limit repeated requests. These expire after two minutes and are removed during subsequent requests. The time of a recent submission may be stored in your browser's local storage. It remains on your device until you clear site data.
Enquiry confirmation
After a successful form submission, this tab temporarily stores a confirmation timestamp in session storage so the thank-you page can show the correct message. It contains no name, phone number or job details and is cleared when the browser tab session ends.
Analytics
This website does not load external analytics or advertising trackers.
External links
The site links to Facebook and WhatsApp but does not embed their content. Those services are contacted only after you choose to open a link and then process the visit under their own privacy information. WhatsApp receives the phone number and prefilled message shown in the link.
Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the use of personal information, and to withdraw consent. Contact us using the details above to exercise those rights.
Complaints
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office through its official website or by calling 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page if the quote-delivery service or any material part of the website's information handling changes.
